Eddie is a legendary stud and gin player and a mean holdem mofo, the video tells most of it but not all. He told me several stories of the late and great Stu "The Kid" Ungar, my favorite is this one, not on the video but funny anyway. Stu owed the mob around 250k for a horse gambling debt and had disappeared to play cards to make it up. Poor Eddie returned to their dingy Vegas digs only to be confronted by a couple of hit guys wanting to collect off of Stuey.

They made Eddie wait with them. Eddie knew for sure there was a shallow grave awaiting he and Stu in the Nevada desert. Some six hours later Stuey returns and the hit guys demand the money and Stuey informs them, cool as a cucumber, that he can only cover 200k. They ask why would he risk 250k if he can only cover 200k?

He answered cool as ever that it would be no fun otherwise. At that point Eddie tried to kill him by strangulation and was stopped. By next morning Stu had covered the additional 50k.
